Cooking & Recipes : Prawns Provencale

Prawns Provencale



Ingredients :
 
    2 tbsp oil
    1 stick Celery, finely chopped
    1 medium Onion, diced
    2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
    400g can chopped Tomatoes
    1 Bay Leaf
    Pinch of Thyme
    Salt
    Pepper
    1 tbsp Cornflour
    2 tbsp White Wine
    250g Peeled Prawns
    1 large Red Pepper, seeded and diced

   

Method :

1). Place the oil in a frying pan and soften the peppers, onion and celery, then add the garlic.

2). Add the can of tomatoes, bay leaf and thyme, season and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes.

3). Mix the cornflour and the white wine and then add to the pan stirring constantly until thickened.

4). Simmer gently for 15 minutes then add the prawns.

5). Simmer for a further 5 minutes.

6). Remove the bay leaf before serving.

7). Serve with cooked rice.
